The following is an alert from the LaSalle County Health Department:

Please be advised, the LaSalle County Health Department, along with surrounding counties, are seeing an increase in Pertussis cases within the community.  This alert is being distributed to all local schools to increase awareness of possible suspect cases.

Entry Form for Husker Hustle 5K run

The first ever "Husker Hustle" 5 K Run and Walk will be held on Sunday September 19th. A copy of the entry form is on the Superintendent's page. Click on the Superintendent's page tab on the left and click on the entry form to get your copy. Fill it out and return it to the high school.

State Payments to CU2

The State of Illinois still owes Community Unit District 2 $271,246 from last year. If we had received that money in a timely fashion, we would not have had a deficit budget last year. To put it in perspective, to raise that amount of money in the local property tax levy, it would take another 18.5 cents per hundred dollars of value. HUSKER HUSTLE 5K RUN/WALK

Support the Serena Sports Boosters as they fund the 2010-11 high school golf and track teams. Participate in the first ever "Husker Hustle", a 5 K run/walk. It will be held on Sunday, September 19th at 9:00 a.m. with an 8:30 check in time at the high school parking lot. The cost is $20, this includes a T-shirt (if you are registered by September 9th).
