Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students started the year learning and practicing locomotor movements such as jogging, skipping, galloping, hopping, and defensive slides. They also learned and practiced movement concepts like forward, backward, left, right, fast, slow, curved, straight, zig-zag, etc. Students also enjoyed acting like animals as they hopped like a frog, walked like a chicken, galloped like a horse, stomped their feet like an elephant, or slithered like a snake.
