Dear Parents,
This message is to inform you that students and staff at Harding Grade School were placed in a soft lockdown this morning at 11:30 am due to police activity in the area, and at the request of LaSalle County Sheriff Department. During the soft lockdown students and staff remained in classrooms. The soft lockdown lasted approximately 15 minutes when LaSalle County Sherriff Department gave an all clear.

Due to the rain, the Homecoming Parade is rescheduled for tomorrow, Friday 9/22, at noon. Hope to see you there!
Attention Future Huskers.... It's HOCO week at Serena! Come out and show your school spirit this week.
Serena Lions Club is collecting old sneakers that can be tied together. Please send old sneakers to school and drop them in the collection box in the office.
In honor of Homecoming at SHS next week, we will be having a Spirit Week! Please be sure to keep it school appropriate, but have fun with the theme of each day!

August Lunch Menu 2023
Due to excessive heat in the high school, all Unit 2 schools (Serena, Harding, and Sheridan) will be dismissed at 1:00 pm (SHS & SMS) and 1:15 pm (HGS & SGS) on Wednesday, August 23 through Friday, August 25. Coaches will be in contact with their athletes regarding practices and games.
Reminder - preschool orientation tonight at 5:30!
School starts August 23. We hope to see all of our K-4 families for Unpack the Backpack on Monday, August 21. Stop by anytime from 3-6pm to drop off supplies and meet the staff.
