Congratulations to SHS Band students who represented Serena at the Honor Band concert at Eastern Illinois University this weekend! They joined nearly 70 students from around the state to practice and perform several pieces. The music was wonderful, and the students did a fantastic job! Thank you, Mr. Pierce, for your time and enthusiasm for our music program. Yesterday Ava Rosengren was recognized at the Reddick Mansion in Ottawa. She received the Good Citizen Award from the Illini Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was one of six recipients from surrounding schools. Great job Ava!
