Serena CUSD 2 Community,
Lisa Gifford’s leadership has been instrumental over the past few years. Lisa has
recently accepted a new role outside of our District as a superintendent, effective at the
end of this school year. We thank Lisa for all of her contributions to our District. For the
remainder of this school year, the Board has hired an interim superintendent beginning
on April 11 to oversee the day-to-day operations of the District as Lisa attends to her
newborn daughter. Beginning April 11, please welcome Jim Whitmore as the interim
superintendent and direct all questions to his attention.
