Good morning,
As our community continues to navigate one of the most challenging times in the history of education, we recognize that time is often a needed resource to reduce stress, refocus and rejuvenate. With that in mind, the district will be closed the entire week of Thanksgiving (November 22, 2021 - November 26, 2021). We will not make these days up at the end of the school year. Our school year is still scheduled to end for students on May 26, 2021. To accommodate this break, we will have a full school attendance day on December 10, 2021 and March 3, 2021 rather than the previously scheduled Early Dismissal for School Improvement.
Our Board of Education and Administration care deeply about the mental wellbeing of our learning community. Our students, faculty, staff, and parents/guardians have worked tirelessly to persevere in the face of unthinkable challenges. The extended break will give all of us an opportunity to rest and renew allowing time to focus on self-care and family.
I believe we will emerge from the break a stronger, healthier and a more committed learning community.
Sincerely,
Lisa Gifford

Good Morning
ISMA will NOT be allowing guests into the building 9/16 for the away volleyball game. They will be streaming this game over NFHS. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Good Morning,
We have been working closely with Sports Boosters in putting together Homecoming Week 2021. We feel that there is a really nice combination of old and new traditions that will provide great memories for our students and community. We are excited to provide this time for the Serena CUSD #2 communities to unify and show their school spirit and pride.
Part of Homecoming Week will include a parade in Serena on 9/21 starting at 1:30 p.m. in which all Serena CUSD #2 students will be attending. We would like to offer our high school grade level classes, teams, and clubs an opportunity to decorate a float for the parade, but need your support.
We are in need of hayracks, golf carts, pick-up trucks or something else that would work as a float, and volunteers to help supervise, decorate, and pull the floats. Your support is greatly appreciated!
If you would be willing to help in any way, please contact us at: bthomas@unit2.net or ptwait@unit2.net for more information. We need to know all volunteers by 9/19/2021.
Thank you for your help!
