Valentine's Day Spirit Week!
Ozobots Visit 6th Grade Science!
As a culminating activity to the study of the Inner & Outer Planets, Mrs. Graham visited Mrs. Goldman's 6th grade science classes with the Ozobots.
The students used their chromebooks to sync the block code for Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars.
The Ozobots allowed students to see the rate of rotation (day) and the rate of revolution (year) of each planet. The students were also able to test out the coding of the Ozobots, and change colors and sounds Ozobots make.

Virtual Career Exploration Event At SMS
SMS students, who expressed an interest in a career associated with animals, zoology or biology, on a Career Interest Survey taken at the beginning of the school year with Mrs. Hoppis, had the opportunity to take an in-depth look at how a high-quality zoo exhibit is created—from concept to completion. Students explored how thoughtful exhibit design balances the needs of animals, zoo staff, and visitors, while supporting animal care, education, and engagement.
